Pete’s challenging cycle raises over £2,500 for TAO
Once again, our Director Pete Burnham, has cycled to raise funds for us – exceeding his target of £2,000 and generating over £2,500 after tax relief for TAO.
Together with friends Matt and Justin, Pete rode a challengingly “undulating” 200+ miles from Wokingham, in Berkshire, to Dolton, North Devon. Cycling for three days, 23-25 August 2013, the route had them climbing a total of 13,500 yards (that’s over 12km up!).
Pete gave his heartfelt thanks to friends and family who gave the three of them accommodation to keep their costs minimal, and coped with their exhaustion at the end of each day.
The three friends were very warmly thanked by the Chairman and all the Board members of TAO at our AGM on 11 September. Chairman, Iain Knapman, said:
“Unrestricted funding is essential for us and we are enormously grateful to Pete and his friends for their hard work in training, fundraising and completing the ride.”
It’s not too late to reward Pete, Matt and Justin – not to mention supporting TAO – by making a donation on their Just Giving page. You can also donate £10 by texting BTOD99 £10 to 70070.
