Patrons and trustees

Trust for Africa’s Orphans has an active group of Trustees who have been fully dedicated to the work of the charity, many since its inception in 1993. A number of the Trustees have lived and worked extensively in Africa and bring with them a wealth of administrative, financial, agricultural, farming and business experience. Our Trustees oversee the charity’s projects, primarily from the UK, with local liaison and support workers based in Uganda. When necessary, our Trustees visit the charity’s ongoing projects to ensure compliance with the requirements of our funders and the UK charity regulations.

We also have a number of distinguished Patrons, (some of whom are former Trustees), who assist the work of the charity on an ad-hoc basis.
